Comment of the Week

It's a winning weekend around here! The winner of this week's Comment of the Week, who goes home with a signed copy of The Body Finder from THE VAULT for telling us about her favorite prose, is...

Christina Kitreoff!

"I know Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson has been out for a while, but her prose wraps its fingers around your heart and mind and pulls you into her heroine's pain and desperation until you don't want to let go.

And all this from the first line:

"So she tells me, the words dribbling out with the cranberry muffin crumbs, commas dunked in her coffee."

Even her writing is about writing!!"

A little more about Christina:

Codename: Spellgirl (bcause wouldn't it be great to be a real-life Harry Potter?)

Legend: Locked the class bully in the student-store after he shoved her best friend into the cafeteria's garbage can (some Rowling spells would've come in hand to turn him into french-fry grease). The bully missed math and got detention.

She loves writing YA, reading, and anything animal-rescue-related, which is good in a pet-filled household that keeps adding new furry (and not-so-furry) members. Also loves hanging around YA Confidential.

Congratulations, Christina! And thanks so much to everyone who commented this week!
