Congratulations to all the winners! It was so inspiring reading about the fantastic ways you let someone in your life know you cared about them. To claim your ARC, please email us with your mailing address and we'll get your prizes out to you!

But wait!

We're not done spreading the love ourselves! Every Thursday we ask you a question and over the weekend, we pick the author of our favorite answer to choose a book from The Vault.

This week's winner, who told us about the first non-picture book she remembered reading by herself, is:

Avery Marsh

The first non-picture books I remember reading were all horse related: Flicka, Black Stallion, Saddle Club and the Thoroughbred series. I was obsessed with horses as a child. Like mare and foal paintings on my wall, collect Breyer figurines, sneak into a pasture to pet strange horses, obsessed. And those books fueled that obsession for a good five years.
Eventually I moved onto R.L. Stine, Edgar Allen Poe, Agatha Christie, etc. and didn't picked up another horse book until the Scorpion Races. (Water horses that eat people? Uh, yeah! I'll take one!) Still, even though I'm not nearly as horse crazy as I used to be, I can't let a birthday, Christmas and anniversary go by without asking for a pony. I blame the books for romanticizing horse ownership. :P

What a great answer! We loved learning how your love of horses influenced your early reading choices not only when you were a child, but also later as an adult. We might not have a pony to give you, but we can send you a book! Shoot us an email with your pick from The Vault and we'll get that over to you.

Thanks again everyone for participating and CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners!
