Four teenage boys walk into a bowling alley...

The title of the post isn't the start to a joke. :) That really happened over the weekend. And, obviously, I couldn't let the opportunity pass by without gathering some intel for YA Confidential, right?

Right.

Not wanting to interrupt their game for too long--or, yanno, weird them out too much more than necessary--I decided just to ask one two-part question to the group:

Do you read books outside of what yore assigned for school--and if so, what have you read recently?

So, reporting on the facts--and nothing but the facts--here are their answers:

One teen boy loved Inheritance (the last in the Inheritance Cycle books by Christopher Paolini).

One teen boy loved The Hunger Games, but didn't finish Catching Fire because he felt like it started too slowly--and he liked the movie okay, but felt like there were too many things left out from the book.

One teen boy couldn't remember the titles (or plots!) of books he'd read recently, but the last books to really make an impact on him were the ones in the Harry Potter series.

One teen boy rolled his eyes and said he never read if he didn't have to. (I cried quietly in the corner and didn't get another strike for the rest of the night...)
