Comment of the Week!

Every Thursday we put our heads together and come up with a teen-related question for you all to ponder. Then on Saturday we choose our favorite comment, and the author gets to crack open the vault to peek at what we're hiding inside.

Don't worry...we're all dressed in there. Except maybe Copil. You know how he is.
JK,'s just books.

This week's question:

Who’s a YA villain you've sympathized with--and why did you sympathize with them?

And our winner:

Who actually left us TWO comments.

Well, he wasn't a bad guy exactly, but we thought Max in LOLA AND THE BOY NEXT DOOR got a bad rap -- much worse than he deserved. Like, he basically treated Lola pretty well, made nice to her dads, etc., so how surprising can it be that he was p.o.-ed when she started giving him the runaround and showing interest in someone else? Did he handle it maturely? Nope. But he was only like 20, so that's no surprise either. :P

Oh oh oh! But we just thought of a better answer:
The Seeker from THE HOST by Stephenie Meyer. We looove the way she evolves (or devolves?) over the course of the story, and you really get to see the human (or "human") side of her.

I have to agree with you guys about Max...I just couldn't bring myself to hate him the way everyone else seemed to. I guess I'm a sucker for the bad guy.

So, ladies, shoot us an email and we'll set you up with the vault book of your choice.

And just a general note to everyone else...we just sent a TON of books, so if you have been waiting for a prize, it should be en route now.

Have a great weekend, all!
