May's Comment of the Month Winner!

...A week late because we're running a bit behind schedule. Whoops! 0_o

As usual, there have been a number of really great answers in response to our From the Vault questions, {You guys rock!} but one commenter in particular continually impresses us with her insightful remarks. We asked you: Who is your favorite fictional mama? This month's winner CHRISTINA_KIT said:
I LOVE Mrs. Garrett from My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick. She's kind and funny and she includes Sam when Sam's mom has done nothing but be snobby to others. What's amazing is that you can see a little bit of Mrs. Garret in all her kids, and she doesn't care what others think about her wanting and having a large family. I love that she lives her life regardless of what her neighbors and PTA parents think - and she never forgets to be kind and understanding of other people's uniqueness. She really is an incredible role model. Without being perfect. Which is much more approachable and NORMAL. She's a mess at times, lets her kids be a mess, she laughs and she cries, she's strong and she's weak. She really shows how you can be strong for what's important for you, but you don't need to be perfect to be successful. And that success depends on each individual, on their own beliefs, regardless of how others judge you.
Molly Weasley is AMAZING!! She's kind and understanding but so kick-ass when she needs to be.

Thanks for your awesome comment, Christina! Just send us a quick email at to let us know which book you would like from the Book Depository and we'll make it happen!
